JOB ANNOUNCEMENTFOR CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYMENT

The Director of the Referral Hospital in Geita Region is announcing to all citizens with the necessary qualifications to apply for various contractual job positions for a duration of one year. The available positions are as follows:

 1.0. MEDICAL OFFICER II – 4 POSITIONS

1.1 Applicant Qualifications

- Must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree from a recognized institution by the government and completed internship and registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.


1.2 Job Responsibilities

a) Conduct all medical services in hospitals related to various diseases, including pediatric diseases, maternal health, and emergency surgeries.

b) Provide and oversee health education as well as improve health and community welfare in the District and surrounding areas.

c) Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.

d) Collect data and submit them as directed by the Ministry of Health.

e) Plan and evaluate health services in the assigned area of work.

f) Teach students and staff at the workplace.

g) Supervise and direct junior staff.

h) Teach students in medical schools in the designated area.

i) Conduct research and disseminate the results.

j) Develop and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in their field.

k) Prepare plans and budgets for health services.

l) Participate, inspect, and improve health services (medical audit and quality improvement).

m) Provide outreach services in the district/region.

n) Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.


2.0 MEDICAL RECORDS OFFICER – 6 POSITIONS

2.1 Applicant Qualifications

- Must hold a Diploma in Health Records Management for at least three years from a government-recognized institution.


2.2 Job Responsibilities

a) Prepare and maintain a system that facilitates the availability of records/documents/information.

b) Search for files/records.

c) Handle admissions and discharges of patients, both inpatients and outpatients, by entering them into the system.

d) Verify, review, and manage various patient records in the ward.

e) Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
