How to Know If You Have Been Awarded a Loan from HESLB
If you have applied for a loan from the Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) and want to find out if you have been awarded, follow these simple steps:
Visit the HESLB Portal
Go to the HESLB Online Loan Application and Management System (OLAMS) at https://olas.heslb.go.tz/olams/account/login.Log in to Your Account, Use your credentials to log in. Your username is your Form 4 index number, and the password is the one you used during the application process. Make sure to input these details correctly to avoid login issues.
Check Your Loan Status
Once logged in, you can check if you have been awarded a loan by following these indicators:- If you have been awarded a loan: You will see your institution’s name and the year of study (First Year), which means you have been allocated a loan.
- If you have not been awarded a loan: There will be no details under the loan status, indicating that you have not been awarded a loan yet.
Check the Amount Allocated
To know the specific loan amount you have been awarded:- Look for three horizontal lines in the upper left corner and click on them.
- Choose SIPA → Allocations → Academic Year.
- If your loan has been approved, the amount awarded will be displayed. If not, it will show “Not Approved,” meaning your loan is still under review Yet.
By following these steps, you can easily find out if you have been granted a loan and how much you have been awarded for your studies.
