Job Vacancy Announcement
The Government Employment Commission announces job vacancies in the Ministry of Health Zanzibar as follows:
1. Medical Doctor Grade II (ZPSJ – 09): 17 positions in Unguja, 8 positions in Pemba.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Human Medicine (Medical Doctor or Medical Doctor and Surgery) from a government-recognized institution.
- Must be a Zanzibari.
- Must have original academic certificates and a birth certificate.
- Must have a valid license issued by the Zanzibar Medical Council.
- Must be under the age of 46.
2. Pharmacist Grade II (ZPSG – 09):** 8 positions in Unguja, 4 positions in Pemba.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from a government-recognized institution.
- Must be a Zanzibari.
- Must be registered with the Zanzibar Food and Drug Board.
- Must have original academic certificates and a birth certificate.
- Must be under the age of 46.
3. Anesthesia Specialist Grade II (ZPSG – 09): 5 positions in Unguja, 3 positions in Pemba.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in (Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) in Anesthesia and Critical Care or Bachelor in Operation Theater and Anesthesia Technology) from a government-recognized institution.
- Must be a Zanzibari.
- Must have original academic certificates and a birth certificate.
- Must be under the age of 46.
4. Mental Health Officer (Mental Health and Rehabilitation) Grade II (ZPSG – 09): 1 position in Unguja, 1 position in Pemba.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation, Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, Rehabilitation and Disability/Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation/Clinical Psychiatric and Rehabilitation from a government-recognized institution.
- Must be a Zanzibari.
- Must have original academic certificates and a birth certificate.
- Must be under the age of 46.
5. Pediatric Specialist (Doctor of Medicine in Pediatrics) Grade II (ZPSK – 09): 1 position in Unguja.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Pediatrics (Master of Medicine in Pediatrics) from a government-recognized institution.
- Must have at least one year of experience in Pediatrics at the Bachelor's level.
- Must have a valid license from the relevant Council.
- Must be a Zanzibari.
- Must have original academic certificates and a birth certificate.
- Must be under the age of 46.
6.Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation Officer in Health Grade II (ZPSG – 8): 1 position in Unguja.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation in Health from a government-recognized institution.
- Must be a Zanzibari.

7. Health Systems Management Officer Grade II (ZPSG-09):1 position in Unguja, 1 position in Pemba.

9. Dentist Grade II (ZPSJ – 09):1 position in Unguja.

- Must have completed a one-year internship in a government-approved hospital.
